Niton Pest Control – Isle of Wight

A local service for the Island’s residents and business owners

About Me

My name is Martin Johnson and I have been pest controlling in one form or another for most of my life.

Whether ferreting as a young adult, working for the local Corporation Parks Department dealing with moles, or assisting gamekeepers on local shoots, clearing mice from somebody’s garden shed or dealing with rats in farmyards and food stores, I pride myself on working to the highest standard in a professional manner.

I carry full liability insurance and am a registered supporter of the CRRU UK Rodenticide Stewardship Regime.

I have been awarded the Royal Society of Public Health Level 2 in Pest Management, issued by the British Pest Control Association, which authorises me to purchase, store and use certain pesticides. However, in accordance with COSHH recommendations, I only use chemical methods as a last resort, much preferring traditional methods such as trapping, proofing, shooting etc.

Charges

It is a sad fact, but I have to earn a living!  My charges are as follows and are in line with other professional pest technicians.

Wasps and Hornets:  £70 per nest plus £20 for any additional nest treated at the same time at the same address.  On the rare occasion that a follow up application is required, this will be done free of charge.  If you wish the nest to be removed once the wasps are destroyed, this will be an additional £70.  However, there is no need to remove the nest as the wasps will not return and the nest will never be re-used.

Moles:  £70 for the initial survey and set up costs.  A charge of £15 will be made for any mole caught as part of the same operation at the same address.  For farmers, recreational facilities etc. please contact me for further information.

Rats and Mice:  £50 for initial survey and first treatment.  £40 per further visit as required.

Please note that I do not charge a call-out fee and there is no extra cost for travel.  These prices are the same all across the Island.
